I'm Gonna Move To The Outskirts of Town Lyrics: I'm going to move, baby / Way out on the outskirts of town / I'm going to move, baby / Way out on the outskirts of town / You see I don't need.

Unlike Genius + Soul = Jazz this STEREO version here has both numbers Mono A-2 AND Stereo AS-2 in the Impulse! logo inside gatefold. Genius + Soul = Jazz has A-2 STEREO on the inside and STEREO A-2 on the outside only. Recorded in December 26th and 27th, Also released as Genius + Soul = Jazz /5(60).

Most of the album is instrumental and swings vivaciously, although Charles does take a couple of vocals with "I'm Gonna Move to the Outskirts of Town" and "I've Got News for You." Yet one of those instrumentals, a cover of the Clovers' "One Mint Julep," would give Charles one of his most unpredictable (and best) early-'60s hits.9/

Digitally remastered edition of this classic Soul album. Featuring the Count Basie band and arrangements by Quincy Jones and Ralph Burns, Genius + Soul = Jazz was another attempt by Ray Charles to close the gap between musical genres, in this case soul and jazz.4/5(67).

referencing Genius + Soul = Jazz, LP, Album, Mono, IMP 2 This is the original french press. Ray Charles's impulse output was still distributed by vega in France, not pathé marconi.
